GGEB Teacher Manual and Lesson Plans
We have created a Teacher Manual (PDF) to help you implement the Girls Guide to End Bullying web-based intervention.
The teacher manual also provides strategies for teachers and school staff to:
- Address bullying when they see it.
- Talk to the bully, victim and bystander.
- Encourage bystanders to end bullying.
- End bullying in the classroom and school.
The Girls Guide also provides Lesson Plans designed to help teachers lead their students through the site. There are five lesson plans, one for each type of bullying. They can be found in the back of the Teacher Manual and below

The Girls Guide to End Bullying program offers free trainings to local schools
Interested in learning more about the program and how you can use this in your school and classroom?
The trainings are meant for teachers and school staff. We have trains groups as small as 3 and as large as 100.
At the Trainings each teacher and staff receives:
Bound Teacher Manual
- Lesson plans for The Girls Guide
- Anti-bullying information for teachers
- Many other resources and support materials
One-hour training:
- Lesson plans for The Girls Guide
- Anti-bullying information for teachers
- Many other resources and support materials
How the trainings are conducted:
We work with each school to meet their specific needs
Schools have opted to train staff during:
- In-service days
- Before school
- After school
- During planning periods
We understand every school has specific needs. We can work with you to make sure our training fits these needs.

We can work with you to figure out the best way to provide the training to your staff. Once the training is complete we can also help you decide how to implement the program in your school.
How is GGEB currently being used in schools?
Below you will find examples of how schools are implementing the Girls Guide to End Bullying program in their schools!
Classroom Instruction:
- Women's history unit
- Health and Wellness unit
- Psychology unit
- English unit
- Love and Relationships unit
Part of a weekly homeroom instruction
- All 5 lesson plans were split up and implemented as 20 minute lessons every Friday during homeroom.
Tool for student mentors
- Junior and senior students learn about and use the intervention with their younger mentees
Freshman Orientation
- GGEB is presented as part of freshman orientation for the female students.
School psychologists and counselors
- Implement special classes with students using GGEB as the basis for the instruction
- If students come to them about being bullied they suggest areas of the website to visit and then work with them to help solve the issue
